Mona, born in Hamlin, Germany, has resided in the US for the past 15 years. After completing her apprenticeship in Antiquariat and the book trade, she worked as the Feuilleton editor for a few German newspapers and as public relations manager for the Leibniz Bookstores. Later she was art director for the Neue Hannoversche Presse. Relinquishing the monotony of the 8-5 business world, she decided to establish her own interior design company, which she ran for a number of years in Hannover and Braunschweig.
After marrying and moving to Florida, she started an antique business and continued to design interior and exterior environments for her clients. She says that although she has the most fun with her clients' private dwellings, she has occasionally taken on the challenge of condo complexes and refurbishing time-share in and around the Orlando area.
Currently, she is living in the Asheville area where she continues to design work ranging from the sedate to the funky. She's given us some hand-painted furniture, floor cloth, and soon some acrylics for this site. We hope to explore her portfolio in the coming months.
